Firstly, I do apologise for uploading all pictures one by one, silly iPad being not friendly with flash and odd Internet connection make it that way!

Today we travelled from Esbjerg, where we first checked out the local fleamarket… I got a few wee frames for my Peoples Photography exhibition, himself lured at several lighters and an accordion… After that, we went to meet the “men by the sea”, which made no sense to us whatsoever! Four massive white dudes, on the edge of the harbour.

From there, the road brought us towards the Ringkøbing Fjord and we passed it over the Holmsland Klit, a small strip of land between the Vesterhavet and the fjord. Loads of greenery, cute little thatched houses and dunes. We stopped at the Lyngvig Fyr (lighthouse) and made our merry way up to about a zillion winding stairs, only to meet gale force one winds once we made it to top… The view was magnificent though!

Onwards to our campsite of the day, via Hvide Sande and we still haven’t camped yet :) The weather just isn’t good enough to stay in a tiny wee tent! Luckily, one of the wooden cabins was free, so this will be our place of rest for tonight and tomorrow night.

Like two big kids, we explored all that the campsite has to offer… We nabbed two go-carts to scoot around the place (mine got stolen later by a kid, who is probably the one that should be driving them!). We played a game of mini-golf, flew down from ziplines, bounced on the trampolines and himself found a canoe which he took for a ride around the water.

For dinner we headed back towards Ringkøbing, where we found another odd statue (see pictures). We may have gotten a -ahem- Chinese buffet for dinner… But I can assure you that a Danish Chinese is very different from an Irish one!

Our nightly entertainment tonight consisted of a game of pool, a match of airhockey and a game of Mikado (pick up sticks) … Ah the camp life!

Tomorrow we are checking out the sand sculpture festival in Søndervig and hope to canoe the river Skerjn Å in Skerjn. The day after should bring FUN FUN FUN in Legoland (yippie!).

Goodnight from Hee, Juteland, Denmark!
